Disclosure Records of Recognized Certification Authorities

In accordance with section 31(1) of the Electronic Transactions Ordinance (Cap. 553) ("ETO"), the Commissioner for Digital Policy must maintain for each recognized certification authority ("CA") an on-line and publicly accessible record.

Disclosure Record for Digi-Sign Certification Services Limited

  1. On 26 July 2001, the then Director of Information Technology Services (the "then Director") granted recognition to Digi-Sign Certification Services Limited as a recognized CA under section 21 of the ETO from 26 July 2001 for a period of two years. Digi-Sign Certification Services Limited commenced operation as a recognized CA on 26 July 2001.

  2. Subsequently, the recognition of Digi-Sign Certification Services Limited as a recognized CA was then renewed in 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2016, 2019 and 2022. On 8 July 2025, the Commissioner for Digital Policy renewed the recognition of Digi-Sign Certification Services Limited as a recognized CA under section 27 of the ETO from 26 July 2025 for a period of three years.

  3. The current recognition is valid from 26 July 2025 to 25 July 2028 or until this recognition is revoked or suspended whichever is earlier.
