Admission Requirements

Applicants with Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) results must meet:

1. the General Entrance Requirements; and
2. the School-specific Requirements.

General Entrance Requirements: 1․ Four core subjects:(a) Chinese Language at Level 3 or above․(b) English Language at Level 3 or above․(c) Mathematics (Compulsory Module) at Level 3 or above(d) “Attained” in Citizenship and Social Development․ 2․ Two electives:(a) Elective 1 at Level 3 or above․(b) Elective 2, or Mathematics Extended Modules (M1 or M2) at Level 3 or above․School-specific Requirements:Electives should be one of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, ICT, or Combined Science․

Admission Requirements

Note:

  1. Flexible admission conditions for JUPAS applicants (applicable to ALL HKUST programs):
    • Perform well overall but miss the entrance requirement of 3-3-2 by one level in one HKDSE core subject (Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics);
    • Possess an HKDSE programme score that is higher than the median score of the selected program(s) in the previous year; and
    • Put the selected HKUST program(s) in Band A JUPAS choice.
