One-stop thematic webpage “Decarbonisation ‧ Business Action” for Small and Medium Enterprises

Digital Government

With the growth of the global awareness of decarbonisation, consumers have been demanding green and low-carbon products and services. At the same time, the relevant laws and regulations of the major markets of our businesses are fast evolving. Although there is plenty of information available, say, on the internet, the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Hong Kong may find it difficult to grasp the latest developments in a simple and easy manner.

The Trade and Industry Department (TID) has set up a one-stop thematic webpage, “Decarbonisation · Business Action” (the webpage), under the “SME Link” portal in May 2025, to help the SMEs in this regard. The webpage provides concise information on the requirements and regulations of Hong Kong and our trading partners; links to services about decarbonisation and carbon audit including self-assessment tools; resources on technological solutions and services provided by solution providers and market practitioners; as well as information on carbon reduction related government funding support. A search tool is also available to assist SMEs locating required information.

The webpage serves as a one-stop platform to help SMEs better prepare and position their businesses in the dynamics of international trade networks and supply chains, and capture the business opportunities arising from low-carbon solutions and new markets emerging around the world.
