Mutual Use of QR Code between HKSAR and Macao SAR Clearance Service
The Immigration Department, in collaboration with Macao's authorities, has introduced the "Mutual Use of QR Code between HKSAR and Macao SAR Clearance Service". This initiative allows eligible Hong Kong and Macao residents to use encrypted QR codes for automated immigration clearance via the "Contactless e-Channel" mobile app and the "Macao One Account" mobile app respectively, thus providing a faster and more convenient immigration clearance service.

Launched in 2019, the "Streamlining of Government Services" (SGS) Programme aims to improve government services involving applications and approvals through streamlining business processes and widening the adoption of technology on a continuous basis with a view to improving their convenience, efficiency and transparency.
