“Smart Silver” Enriched ICT Training Programme for the Elderly (2026-2028)

Background

The “Smart Silver” Enriched ICT Training Programme for the Elderly (the Training Programme) has been implemented since 2019. The courses were well received by the elderly participants. In light of this, we launch a new round of the Training Programme in March 2026 for a period of two years.

Target Beneficiaries

Elderly people aged 60 or above with basic ICT knowledge.

Courses Provided

Each funded Elder Academy (EA) provides a variety of ICT courses. Apart from areas such as smart healthcare and cyber security, the new courses also include more advanced topics on artificial intelligence (AI) and smart assistants, blockchain and digital payments, robots and self-driving cars, IT in low-altitude economy, as well as basic coding and computational thinking, etc. The training courses will be launched in May 2026 and details will be uploaded to the “Smart Silver” Elderly IT Learning Portal (Chinese only) in due course.
