Description: |
The “Smart Silver” ICT Outreach Programme for Elders (2025-2026) (the Outreach Programme) provides funding, guidance and support to encourage non-profit-making organisations (NPOs) to organise ICT-based outreach activities for the elders. The aim is to improve their quality of life, enhance their skills in using ICT solutions, and strengthen their digital-confidence as well as community connections. The Digital Policy Office (DPO) is now inviting NPOs to submit applications for funding under the new round of the Outreach Programme. |

28 February 2025 (Friday) 12:00 noon If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted, or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or “extreme conditions after super typhoons” announced by the Government is/are in force at any time between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon on 28 February 2025, the closing time will be postponed to 12:00 noon on the first working day (excluding Saturday) after the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 is lowered, or the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or “extreme conditions after super typhoons” announced by the Government has/have ceased to be in force. In the event of blockage of the public access to the location of the DPO office at any time between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon on 28 February 2025, the DPO will announce the extended application closing time as soon as practicable. The above announcements will be made by email. |
Submission of Application: |
Application must be submitted either: (a) by hand during office hour (Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (except public holidays)) to:
Mr Louis LO, with the duly completed Application Form and the supporting documents required together with the softcopies of these documents in MS Word format in a storage media (e.g. flash drive, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, etc.) enclosed in a sealed envelope marked “Application for Funding under the ‘Smart Silver’ ICT Outreach Programme for Elders (2025-2026)”. Or (b) by email to elderlyict-appl@digitalpolicy.gov.hk, under the subject “Application for Funding under the ‘Smart Silver’ ICT Outreach Programme for Elders (2025-2026)”, and with the duly completed Application Form and the supporting documents required in both MS Word and PDF formats attached. Late applications will not be considered. |

For NPOs interested in applying the funding, please send an email to the DPO (elderlyict@digitalpolicy.gov.hk) no later than 12:00 noon of 28 February 2025 to obtain the invitation documents. |
